My Top 5 Favorite Plants

hey guys! i hope y’all have had an amazing week. i sure have! ๐Ÿ˜
today is an exciting posting day: i’m showing ya’ll my most favorite plants ever!! if you didn’t already know, i lovvveeeee plants so so so much! (where are my fellow plant lovers/collectors out there?) i have sooooo many plants in my room, its not even funny. most other girls hoard things like makeup or clothes, or trophies from sports, but not me! no siree-bob i collect plants, plants, and more plants! they’re so pretty, and calming, and just make any space seem a little more earthy and real. they’re my favorite! i’m pretty sure i got my plant obsession from my mom. if you wanna know why, take a WILD stab at what our entire house is covered in. you got it – plants! i’m not quite to the point of her obsession – she talks to the plants all the time, and it kinda makes me wonder if she’s actually a psychopath waiting for the perfect to go all out insane. don’t worry she’s not actually crazy (i don’t think) but she really does love to talk the plants! ๐Ÿคฃ – but i am pretty infatuated with my plants! anywho, enough talking about my almost-out-of-hand-obsession. let me show you just how crazy i am about my plants. wow, lucky you guys! you get to see the slightly crazy side of me that most people don’t get to see! ๐Ÿ˜

1: AGLAONEMA

these plants are the best of ALL the plant worlds! it’s pretty, it comes in an array of colors, and it’s super easy to take care of! they do fine in low, medium, or high light, but thrive the most in medium light, and they are completely fine if you forget to water it once in a while.

2: PRAYER PLANT

these aren’t the easiest plants to take care of, but they are so pretty, and have some really unique, cool qualities to them! you have to keep them in a greenhouse like condition, with lots of moisture, gentle airflow, and just a bit of sun. they also need just the right amount of watering, which can get kind of tricky. but i think it’s worth it! now, you may be wondering, why are they called prayer plants? well, i can tell ya! the reason they’re called that is because at night, when the sun goes down, their pretty little leaves fold up like your hands when you pray! isn’t that so cute?

3: ASPARAGUS FERN

ok, i love all ferns in general, but asparagus ferns are some of my favorites because they’re just especially vibrant and frilly. i love the soft, textured look of it! this is another plant that takes a little bit more effort, but its generally pretty easy! they love the tropical environment, so either keep it humid where you are storing the plant, or spray it with water from a spray bottle pretty often. these also need to be watered a lot, so keep that in mind if your thinking about getting one of them!

4: ROSARY VINE

aren’t these plants so pretty?? they’re also succulents, which makes them so easy to take care of! you don’t have to water them super often, and they loooovvveee the sun! they also reproduce really well, so if you start out with one little string, you’ll end up with a whole bunch of them after a little bit! you might even have to repot to make more room! ๐Ÿ˜‰

5: CRASSULA TOM THUMB

as you can tell, i love succulents!! they are so easy to take care of, and are also soooo pretty! this crassual tom thumb is another super vibrant, just overall pretty plant, and is definitely one of my favorites!!

well those are my top 5 favorite plants! i hope you enjoyed this post!

one more thing – happy valentine’s day!! i hope you all have a holiday, and three day weekend for most of my fellow americans!

let me know in the comments what your favorite plants are! as you can see, i’m a plant fanatic, so i need all the new plant ideas i can gather!! also, i would love to hear about what you guys are doing for valentine’s day!

  1. Oh, I LOVE succulents too! They’re also really pretty and did you know you can multiply them just by breaking off a leaf and planting them in the dirt? Like you said, SUPER easy to take care of!!

  2. Ooo omg these plants are beautifull!!! This is so pleasing to the eye. I’ve tried being a plant mom, and my plant was freaking beans, and it died the next week HAHHHA I SUCK. But maybe when I grow older and my capability to nurture and care for plants increase, I’ll get a plant. Your fourth plant (Rosary Vine) really reminded me of this plant — Chain of Hearts, I’m not entirely sure if this is a real plant though, because I’ve only seem them in a game, they’re gorgeous and I would definitely get them when I’m older. Loved this post so much!

  3. I love plants too! But just to look at, I don’t think I could take care of them very well…๐Ÿ˜‚. Our yard used to be filled with flowers and trees and purple bushes and lush green grass, but since we got dogs and since our neighbors keep flooding our yard, it has all died.๐Ÿ˜” Now all that’s left is a sad twiggy tree in the corner of our yard.
